A suit needs attention between outings, too. Start with the fabric and label, then give it room to rest rather than treating every crease as a reason for a home wash.

Give wool room to recover

Woolmark recommends airing wool clothes and allowing them to rest between wears. For tailored pieces, a suitable shaped hanger helps support the garment. Do not assume that all wool items share the same washing or drying instructions.

Check the finish before applying heat

Keep ironing and cleaning within the care label’s instructions. Linings and construction matter as well as the outer fabric. If you are uncertain about a shiny area, a trim or a mark, ask for an assessment rather than testing a hotter iron.

Keep the set together

When preparing a request, identify the jacket and trousers as a set. Note missing buttons, tears, lining issues or changes to the finish. Those details help distinguish a cleaning need from a repair or alteration need.

Plan around the occasion

Include the date you need the suit when asking about care. Pickup availability is not the same as a confirmed return date. The actual treatment and turnaround need to be agreed for the garment and service area.

Keep this in mind

Rest it, read the label and ask about the whole garment.

Always follow the instructions for your actual garment or pair. A care plan needs to reflect its material and condition.
